Looking back over the trip I thought it might be fun to call out the giants I saw along the route. Here are a few.
Gemini Giant in Illinois stands by the Launch Pad restaurant.
He seemed happy with himself holding that rocket.
A short drive down to Cuba, MO and he could sit a spell in The Red Rocker as it stands 42 feet high. This is located near an interesting Antique shop.
The giants of the world might want to drive down to Springfield, Missouri to check out the 35-foot tall 11-ton steel fork.

In Edmond, OK the Blue Hippo is a cute fellow. As high school pranks happen, it gets relocated from time to time. No one is sure where he originated.
The Golden Driller makes Gemini Man look like a regular guy. Driller stands 76 feet tall and is the sixth tallest statue in the USA. He resides outside the Expo Center in Tulsa.
A drive down the route away in Claremore, OK one can see the Great Blue Whale. I found it to be a fun stop on the trail.
The whale is 20 feet tall and made of iron and cement.
In Acadia, OK is the 55-foot-tall soda bottle outside at Pops Soda stop. At night the bottle lights up however during the day it will still catch your eye even if it appears all white.
These giants stand outside the Pink Elephant Antique Hall.

The Second Amendment Cowboy (aka Muffler Man) is located in Amarillo, TX. It is located not far from the Cadillac Ranch. He is a friendly 22-foot Texan and will allow you to take a photo with him.
The First Muffler Man. (Louie) is located in Flagstaff, AZ outside the Walkjup Skydome. This Lumberjack statue stands 20 -feet tall and was originally located at the Lumberjack Restaurant and was donated to the university in the late 1970s.
The Borax Wagon in Needles California. These wagons were 16 feet by 4 feet by 6 feet deep and weighed 7,800 pounds when empty. When loaded with borax, they could weigh up to 36.5 tons. The front wheels measured 5 feet the back wheels measured 7 feet, and each wheel weighed 1,000 pounds. These wagons haul Borax which is a type of salt from the mines.
And the end of the trail is at the large Pacific Ocean. The final Giant on the famous Route 66.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing some of the giants from 66. Safe adventures!
This looks fun. I love the hippo and alien!
